The pince-nez were for fun... you know, artistic license and all that. :) And... aardvarks have poor eyesight. I forgot this was such a literal bunch... not given to flights of fancy. Thank goodness RM has removed the zombie from his name. I'm glad... I thought he really was one!
depends on where I'm commenting. I'm still a zombie at Saying yes, RoD, and 3B (albeit a half-assed zombie).
And I fully support a program of corrective lenses for poorly-sighted aardvarks. I did not know that about them. Maybe that's why they eat ants. They can't see the phone book to order a pizza.
As it is nocturnal and has poor eyesight, the aardvark is cautious upon leaving its burrow. It comes to the entrance and stands there motionless for several minutes. Then it suddenly leaps out in powerful jumps. At about 30 feet out it stops, raises up on its legs, perks up its ears and turns its head in all directions. If there are no sounds, it makes a few more leaps and finally moves at a slow trot to look for food.
Minor technical note: I did not believe in labels, but they're really awfully convenient for looking at bunches of posts in a row. This series deserves a label.

Excellent!!!
Watch what you say about Tarantulas.
You don't need to worry about tarantulas - we're doing animals here, not food groups.
I thought animals were one of your food groups, Snag!?
Note to self: Scratch drawing #13...
Why do I suspect all 26 animals wind up in a stew?
The spirit of Edward Gorey lives on in you two!
AWESOME
now it all makes sense
a Myopic Aardvark?
i was wondering about the pince-nez for the aardvark...

For all I know, ants taste like pizza.
Note to self: eat some ants.

Which would be all of them:

I feel like the headliner who's been upstaged by the opening acts.
Oh well, must soldier on if for no other reason than to give the world Jennifer's gifts.
