We had to sing that at camp. Good times.

I didn't mind that music. Then again, I wasn't alive when it was popular. I think I know him more from being on the Muppet Show than anything else. That colors how much you like him...

At least it's not a Bad Religion song....

And here's a second instance where AG is right; anybody on the Muppet Show instantly becomes much cooler. Maybe if Greg Graffin went on...

But ultimately, Hunter S Thompson and duke showed that it was okay to hate on Denver, John.

My mom used to sing John Denver songs to me when I was little, so I have nothing but positive associations with his music.

In other news, the AC is broken in our office. Please, Lord, kill me now.

Sweatin' to the Oldies, eh, Res?

It reminds me of when we used to go to visit my relatives in West Virginia (yes, Indiana and West Virginia blood in my veins, it's a wonder I didn't wind up in an X-Files episode.)

How come AG Mother did not sing to her like Res' mom? So unfair. I guess it was the music then. AG's mother loved her record players, but to be honest - I don't know if that woman ever played a damn thing. I am going to have to ask now that I think about it.

Now MC AG was at the turnster with her Puff the Magic Dragon everyday after a little PBS action. Oh good times were thems!

also, I am pretty sure I remember watching the John Denver on the Muppet Show episode. but maybe that is a false implanted memory. So weird.

It seemed like every other episode was the John Denver one on the Muppets. I think they didn't repeat all of them faithfully. The other episode was either Carole Channing or Elke Sommers (same person????)

They never showed the Peter Sellers one or the Alice Cooper one.

I think JD also did a Christmas special w/ the Muppets. Celebratory and informative. Listen carefully and you'll hear about the secret ingredient that causes you to crave figgy pudding fortnightly.

Remember when MC5 visited Mr. Roger's neighborhood?

Good times.

I especially liked the episode where the FBI found Denver and Animal passed out in a closet with 2 hookers and a kilo of smack.

I love that song! It makes me sad though.
